This notice explains how the Parkinson’s NZ Charitable Trust (PNZCT) uses information you give to usand how we protect your privacy. PNZCT is committed to protecting your privacy. We only collect personal information that you voluntarily give to us whether or not it is collected via this website. The first section of this privacy notice sets out the information that applies to everyone we interact with. From time to time, we may contact you for research purposes or to provide you with information about new products or services or special offers and promotions. This may include information about our programmes, research funding, special events, donor and fund-raising programmes.

Besides our staff, we may share your information when it is desirable to do so such as with our information system technology vendors or any contractors working with us who need such access to complete their contract.

A “Client” is a Person with a Parkinsonism condition (PwP) who has chosen to take advantage of the clinical services of PNZCT by signing the Client Consent Form.
A “Carer” means a person who is the primary carer of a PwP. It can include other family / whānau members who provide additional support and / or respite care.

We will collect your information directly from you and from other health professionals where you have authorised us to do so or where we are allowed to do so under the Health Information Privacy Code.

We may share information with other health professionals involved in your care to facilitate the best possible care for you.
Access
Access to your personal health information is restricted on a ‘need to know’ basis to our clinical service staff involved in your care and necessary administrative support staff.
A Member of PNZCT means a person, who has completed a membership application form (An Invitation to Support Us form) and paid the annual membership fee.
Volunteer - a person who donates his or her time to help PNZCT achieve its charitable purpose.

We will collect your information directly from you or for volunteers from a volunteer centre where you have authorised them to share this with us.

Sharing
We may share your contact information with our regional committee in your locality in order to allow them to communicate with you about local activities and events.
A donor is a supporter who makes a financial contribution to PNZCT.
