There are a variety of social activities available regionally where you can connect with others from your Parkinson’s community. These social activities are led by dedicated volunteers in Action Groups. If you would like to participate in social activities and/or vote for members to our board, become a member today.
These gatherings can include guest speakers presenting on topics of interest to people with Parkinson’s as well as being a great way for people with Parkinson’s to connect with each other.
Get boxing or participate in other exercise groups, while you connect with others and get fit and healthy at the same time.
Red Tulip Walks are a fun way to enjoy nature and raise funds and awareness of Parkinson’s in the community. Recent Red Tulip Walks have been held in Mt Manganui, Rotorua, and Manawatu as well as a 16 kilometre trek through the Cape Wildlife Sanctuary in Hawkes Bay.
You could head out for a night of bowling, join an exercise class or mingle with people who have Parkinson’s over coffee. There are a variety of social activities available regionally for people living with Parkinson’s.
For an annual fee of $30 you can have access to a variety of activities and connect with others in your community. As a Red Tulip Member, you are invited to local events and activities held by our dedicated volunteers in Action Groups and can vote for trustees to our board. Please note that regions have different social activities available.
